BUSINESS NOTES.

Shay, Stephens & Co., Chicago, have just brought out a glass incandescent lamp socket. It is said to be the first ever produced in glass, and is intended especially for use in damp places, as it will not corrode. Nearly 5,000 are already in use in Chicago.
