The patents allowed Mr. Foree Bain, of Chicago, some time since on his system of coal mining will be issued August 5. Mr. Bain is well known as a mining engineer, and having given the subject of coal mining special study, has designed his system with special reference to the work required. He has already a large number of machines in actual service, which are giving excellent satisfaction. Illustrations of the system will appear in our next issue.
