Bernard's Porcelain Cleat for Electric Wiring. The electrical insurance experts of the United States at a recent meeting in New York, decided against the further use of wooden cleats in electric wiring. In this connection the porcelain cleat
manufactured by the E. G. Bernard Company, Troy, N. Y., illustrated herewith, seems to fulfill the requirements the insurance experts ask for. In this cleat both top and bottom are exactly alike, thereby avoiding any trouble or loss of time in putting up. The cross section is so designed as to strengthen the cleat and only requires one screw and four lugs to hold it secure in its position when once put up. It is adjustable and is made both glazed and unglazed. The cleat is made of imported clay and very thoroughly vitrified and strong. |
