BUSINESS NOTES.

THE KNAPP ELECTRICAL WORKS, 54 and 56 Franklin St., Chicago, have added to their well known specialties that of the Ries regulating sockets for which they have secured the exclusive agency for the states of Illinois, Indiana, West Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri and Colorado. Business with this company is very brisk at present, there being a special rush on lamps, sockets, lamp cords, wires, etc. Mr. M. B. Austin, special agent of the company, has just secured a contract in Cleveland, O., for an especially large order of Safety wire, which taken in the midst of very strong competition, redounds greatly to his credit.
