SAN FRANCISCO, CAL., Nov. 10. — The furnaces of the glass works on Seventh and Townsend streets, which have been resting in idleness for a long time are once more aglow and smoke pours from chimneys that for a long time have been unused. James H. Davis, manager of the works, was in excellent spirits and very enthusiastic when questioned as to the prospect of glass industry. "We have started in good earnest," said he, "and we have the best prospects for a bright and prosperous future. The election of McKinley has inspired confidence in those who manufacture and those who have money to invest and that confidence seems to be widespread."
