JENKINS GLASS COMPANY IS OPERATING THREE PLANTS (By Royal). Kokomo, Ind., May 26. —The D. C. Jenkins Glass Co. is operating their two factories in this city. Also their factory in Arcadia, Ind., is in full operation. Like all other factories small help is the great problem here. This is very discouraging to the men and a great loss to the firm. We understand most all other factories are using women with great success. This has not been tried here. Quite a few of our brothers have quit their jobs at the trade and have taken positions in other factories where the grind is not near so hard nor the worries to contend with. Billy Parson, of Corning, N. Y., the veteran mold maker, paid us a visit recently. Bill is looking, younger than ever. At our last regular meeting of Local No. 51, William Jones was elected as delegate to represent our local at the coming convention.
