used as break insulators. It is made of one piece of porcelain, carefully glazed, and possesses great strength. The insulator will be found useful, also, for suspending arc lamps from iron cranes, insulating guy wires, and particularly, for insulating span wires in electric railroad work. The Central Electric company of Chicago, is introducing the device.
