Trolley Wire Insulator.
The insulator shown in the cut presented herewith has just been placed on the market by Seibert & White of Allegheny, Pa. The device is extremely simple in construction, consisting merely of a bell-shaped insulator proper provided with a wrought iron saddle. This insulator is treated with a peculiar compound and has it is stated, stood the test of a four thousand volt alternating current without any leakage whatever. The Pittsburg and Birmingham Traction company is now using these insulators.
