New Porcelain Insulator.

 

The accompanying cut illustrates a porcelain insulator of new design. The slot around the base of the insulator, inclining downward, effectively prevents any moisture covering the insulator from the conductor to the supporting base. These insulators are highly glazed, with a counter-sunk base. They have given satisfaction to those who have used them. They are being placed on the market by the Central Electric company of Chicago.
