SALE IS ANNOUNCED

MUNCIE, Ind., May 4. — (UP) — Purchase of the Hemingray glass company, Muncie, by the Owens-Illinois Glass company, Toledo, O., at a price said to exceed $1,000,000 was announced here today.

The Muncie factory will continue to operate under the present management. Capacity will be increased and it is hoped to add nearly 100 employes to the 300 now employed.
