GLASS PLANT TIED UP

One Hundred Boys on Strike for

Increase of Wages.

MUNCIE, May 13 — The Hemingray fiint glass factory here is now completely tied up because of a strike of 100 carrying-in and finishing boys. The trouble began Friday, when a number of the helpers struck, demanding an increase of 10 cents a day on their wages, and grew until Saturday night, when nearly the entire force of boys went out, causing the factory to cease work. The firm has a large number of orders ahead, which the boys rely on to force the company to their terms, but the management of the factory says the plant will soon resume without the strikers, if they do not care to return at the old prices. The lads are now getting 90 cents a day and are learning the business, which is almost double the wages they received a few years ago.
