PRODUCER GAS

AT MUNCIE ATTRACTED ATTENTION

OF MANUFACTURERS.

Eighty Per Cent of the Factories Expect

Finally to Use the Producer

Gas.

Glass manufacturers throughout the gas belt are watching with great interest the results of producer gas plants which have been installed in the plants of Ball Brothers', Charles Boldt Glass company and the Hemingray Glass company, of Muncie. While less than 5 per cent of the large manufacturing concerns of the gas belt have put in gas producers, about 80 per cent of them are investigating the matter, says the Muncie Star.

It is realized by managers of the great manufacturing firms in the counties of Grant, Madison and Delaware that dependence may no longer be placed on the supply of natural gas and in consequence another kind of fuel is essential and must be had at once in view of approaching cold weather.
