Exhibbit of H. T. Paiste Switches. In the accompanying cut is shown the exhibit of H. T. Paiste, of 10 S. 18th street, Philadelphia. The ornamental background is finished in pure white touched out with gold. The arrangement of ceiling cut-outs in the center illustrating the " xntric" movement of the switch with the words "xntric that's the switch" is unique.
Within the very neat railing, finished in natural wood, that marks the space, are placed several easels and stands. On the easels, one placed at each end of the space, are panels showing the growth of the "xntric" switch and the evolutions of the Paiste switch. On the first are placed a number of porcelain bases, each succeeding one having one piece more than the preceding one, so that the set shows the growth of the switch, step by step, from the plain porcelain base to the completed switch with its binding posts, its spring, contacts, etc. On the second are mounted numerous switches showing the gradual development of the Paiste switch, the first being the oldest form of the Paiste switch and the last the latest and most improved form of the "xntric." The panels are of polished oak and present a very fine appearance. On another panel are displayed numerous porcelain block cut-outs of a great variety of sizes. Visitors interested in switches will find an attendant at the exhibit who will furnish any desired information in regard to the articles shown. |
