A Glass Works Project.

Three gentlemen from the vicinity of Wheeling have been in Cadiz during the past day or two, claiming to represent a company of seven men, all skilled glass workers, who propose to start a glass works, either at this place, or at some other town, wherever they can find the best local encouragement. They propose to start a works for the manufacture of all kinds of hollow ware, red, green, or black. These gentlemen claim to be in possession of several valuable patents, and claim that with a co-operative works, such as they propose to establish, they can manufacture glass much cheaper than at most works now in existence. They propose to start here with works that would cost $20,000, and they ask the citizens of Cadiz to donate one third of this amount. An informal meeting of citizens was held at Esq. Howard's office on Tuesday evening to consider the matter, committees were appointed, and an effort is now being made to raise the money asked for.
