The Mica Insulator company of 218 Water street, New York, is sending out samples of flexible micanite which reveal a fine quality of plate for insulation. This material is made of pure India sheet mica. It is especially recommended as an insulator for armature slots, armature bodies, field magnet coils, etc. Its extreme flexibility will allow it to be bent into any shape desired. It is furnished in sheets 36 by 36 inches, and of any thickness desired, from 10/1000 of an inch upward. The demand for micanite specialties is on the increase, both here and in Europe, and the London and Schenectady factories are kept busy filling orders.
