BUSINESS NOTES.

THE MICA INSULATOR Co., New York, the manufacturers of Micanite in various forms for insulation purposes, should be congratulated on the use of their material in the insulation of the large 10,000 volt alternator recently completed for the Deptford station, England. In the construction of dynamos for the generation of such high potential currents, the best insulating material obtainable is used and at this station nearly every insulating material was tried, with the result that micanite was finally adopted. For ordinary service it is used by the largest manufacturers of electrical machinery in this country.
