STRIKE AT PLEASANT CITY.

A strike is on at the Valley Glass Co.'s plant at Pleasant City, O., and is apt to continue indefinitely, it is said. The strike was brought about by an advance of 5 per cent in the manufacture of insulators agreed upon by the conference held in the early part of January. It is said that the men were promised the benefit of the changes made, to date from Jan. 1, but after the scale was adopted and the company furnished with the scale book, it refused to allow the 5 per cent from Jan. 1.
