The Mica Insulator company of New York and Chicago is distributing to the trade samples of its new process Empire oiled material coated with pure linseed oil. This material, it is claimed, does not crack, harden, become brittle or deteriorate in any way. It is said to have the highest electrical insulating and mechanical qualities, its average, breakdown test being 600 volts per mil. The material is extremely flexible and has a high finish. The company furnishes it in any length desired up to 500 yards.
