Convention Notes. · · Sales Manager John W. Brooks of Pass & Seymour, porcelain manufacturers of Solvay, N. Y., came in from the East on the Twentieth Century Limited in time to join the Chicago delegation on the special car over the St. Paul railway to Milwaukee. Mr. Brooks was most prominent in all matters appertaining to both the business and social side of the convention. On his return to Chicago he expects to make several local trips from Chicago as a center and then leave for an extended southwestern trip. Mr. Brooks has been exceedingly active in the porcelain business during the last year, for the moving of his headqarters [sic] headquarters as manager of sales to Solvay has placed additional burdens on his shoulders. He reports a most excellent business in the porcelain field; in fact, the Pass & Seymour factory has been over-run with orders during the past six months to the extent that another extension may soon be a necessity. Western Sales Agent Julian S. Jackson accompanied Mr. Brooks to the convention and was likewise most energetic in adding to the already large list of friends of Pass & Seymour. · · |
