The H. W. Johns-Manville Company, through its Chicago branch, has just completed a large contract for the installation of "fire felt" pipe and boiler covering in the new plant of Sears, Roebuck & Co. of Chicago, involving an expenditure of several thousand dollars. In "fire felt" the manufacturers say they have reached the highest degree of efficiency in pipe covering. This covering is declared absolutely fireproof, elastic, light in weight and unaffected by expansion or contraction of pipes. In addition to being extensive manufacturers of asbestos coverings, packings and roofing specialties, the H. W. Johns-Manville Company is one of the largest manufacturers of electrical supplies. It has branches in all large cities of the country.
