MR. RALPH D. MERSHON, who for several years past has been in charge of the long-distance transmission department of the Westinghouse Company, has resigned this position and joined forces with Mr. F. S. Pearson, who is well known as the consulting engineer of the Metropolitan Street Railway Company of New York city. Mr. Pearson is to be congratulated upon the acquisition of Mr. Mershon, whose high ability and sound judgment in engineering work of the character named are well known throughout electrical circles. Mr. Mershon has recently been appointed consulting engineer for the Montreal Street Railway and the Chambly Manufacturing Company, of Montreal, Can.
