THE THOMAS CHINA CO.

Lisbon, O., Jan. 25 — The Thomas China Co. are making excellent progress and everything is running along smoothly. They fired their first glost kiln yesterday, and expect to have ware ready for the market in about three weeks.

They are making a very pretty dinner set. It is thin and light and the shapes are very graceful. The covered dish is a short oval and is one of the prettiest designs on the market. Every piece is artistically modeled and the shapes harmonize perfectly. They have also a line of table ware, hotel ware and several specialties. They have secured a force of skilled workmen, and the greatest care is exercised in the manufacture of their product to have it uniform, straight and perfect every way.

The company put up a fine plant and have provided the best and most modern equipment. It is well finished throughout, and altogether is one of the most complete and model potteries in the country. It will only be a matter of a week or two until they will have it going in every department. They will decorate the ware in this line they have some genuine surprises for the trade, as they have some expert decorators engaged and several patterns that are beauties and no mistake. They have not yet selected names for any of their sets, but will do so before they are placed on the market.
