TELEGRAPHS IN TEXAS. — The Baltimore & Ohio Telegraph Company, under the provisions of their contract with the Gulf, Colorado & Santa Fe Railway Company for the extension of the Baltimore & Ohio Telegraph system in Texas, filed a petition in Houston, Tex., August 6, with the County Court, praying for the expropriation, under the laws of the State of Texas, of a right of way over the Texas & New Orleans Railway between Houston and Orange in Harris County, Texas, for the construction of the Baltimore & Ohio Telegraph line. The Western Union Company were made parties defendant with the railway company. The court granted the petition on the 14th. Similar petitions have been filed in other counties in Texas.
