ICE MACHINERY ORDERED.

Will Commence at Once to Erect New

Buildings.

The stock holders of the Muncie Artificial ice company held a meeting yesterday and elected the following board of directors for the first year: Messrs. C. E. Shipley, C. S. Goshorn, Ralph Hemingray, John Ervin, and Capt Dugan. The capital stock of the company will be $25,000 and all of the stock is subscribed. The character of the machinery was selected and ordered by wire last evening from Chattanooga, Tenn. Capt. Dugan, who has devoted many years to the manufacture of ice, pronounces the machinery ordered as of the finest. It is to be here by May 1st.

The directors are now looking after a site, and as soon as same is selected the contract will be let for buildings, which will be completed by May 1st, as the company desire to commence operations on that date.

They expect to run four wagons to deliver ice, and also build up a large trade in surrounding towns. With the class of men that are interested therein, it is bound to be a success.
