This is the usual yearly convention, and the future of the green hollow-ware trade will be the chief subject and business of the session.

John Gilkey, of Camden, N. J., is present as fraternal delegate from the Eastern Branch, and reports that the session of the Eastern Branch at Scranton, Pa., was harmonious in every particular. The chief business at the Scranton convention was the revision of the list and a change in the apprentice system, and it resulted in both subjects being referred to the committees, who are to confer with the manufacturers in regard to them.

The Eastern Branch of the I. D. G. B. L. has on its hands strikes at Baltimore, Md., and Bridgeton, N. J., but are confident of a speedy and satisfactory settlement of their troubles.
