Earl Hiatt
Services for Earl Hiatt, 82, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Pleasant Hill United Brethren Church. Mr. Hiatt died Friday afternoon at the family residence in Mount Pleasant, where he had lived for 65 years.

Burial will be in Mooreland Cemetery. Calling hours at Meeks Mortuary are 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday or a half-hour before services Monday at the church.
He worked at Hemingray Glass Co., which later became Owens-Illinois, for 49 years before retiring in 1962. He started working at the company as water boy and eventually became plant superintendent.
Mr. Hiatt was born in Muncie, attended Muncie schools and attended Pleasant Hill Church.
Surviving are his wife, Pearle Robertson Hiatt; his son and daughter-in-law, Earl Jr. and Rosalie Hiatt. also of Mount Pleasant; two grandsons, Craig, Terre Haute, and Brian, RR 1, Selma; four great-granddaughters, Heather and Gina, Selma, and Stacy and Lindsay, Terre Haute a sister, Mrs. Carl (Evelyn) Sayne; and a brother, Charles "Todd" Hiatt, Muncie.
