Mold Shop Dead

 

Funeral services for David Jones, 63, of 111 1/2 N. Liberty St., former superintendent of the mold shop at the Owens-Illinois Glass Co., will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Meeks mortuary. The Reverend Robert Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary.

Mr. Jones was born in Warrington, England, and came to this country with his parents when 11 years of age. He worked for the Hemingray and Owens-Illinois companies here for 49 years. He died early Saturday morning at his home after a short illness.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Octavia Jones, four sisters, Mrs. Sarah Gates of Hammond, Mrs. Mary Cochrun, Mrs. Edward Cochrun and Mrs. Martha McGibbeny, all three of Muncie, and two brothers, Walter Jones of East Chicago, and William Jones of Muncie.

Mr. Jones was a member of the Friends Memorial Church and Delaware Lodge of Masons.
