MOLTEN GLASS

IGNITED WOOD

Small Sunday Fire at

Hemingray's.

SLIGHT LOSS REPORTED

Molten glass poured from a ringhole in a furnace at the Hemingray glass factory, Sunday afternoon, and set fire to a number of foot boards. As soon as the flames was discovered a line of hose kept in the factory for emergency use was brought out. Workmen manned the hose and soon extinguished the flames.

A call for the fire department was sent in and Chief Casey took Two's hose company to the scene. The fire was out by the time they arrived.
