Personals. · · This morning Dr. Gutherie met his class at Mrs. Bradford Shinkle's. He gave a most instructive talk on Marlowe Chapman and Shakespeare's Venus and Adonis. The class will not meet again until after the holidays. It was observed that quite a number of the ladies were taking notes this morning, for it would be impossible to remember all that Dr. Gutherie imparts in a lesson. Mrs. Charles Simrall, Mrs. Charles Thomas, Mrs. Charles Rodgers, Mrs. George Hamilton, Mrs. McD. Shaw, Mrs. Edward Grant, Mrs. Frank Helm, Mrs. Samuel Long, Mrs. M. M. Durrett, Mrs. John Miller, Mrs. George Eaton, Mrs. J. J. Blackburn, Mrs. William Martin, Mrs. James H. Rust, Mrs. Edward Ebbert, Mrs. Cox, Mrs. O. P. Schmidt, Mrs. William Kelly, Mrs. Daniel Hemingray, Mrs. Frank Ford, Mrs. Stark Wayne, Misses. Bailey, Helm, Hume, Ford, Miller, Brown, Hamilton, and Mrs. Thomas Craighead were some of the ladies who enjoyed the talk this morning. · · |
