Government files anti-trust suit against twelve Ohio porcelain manufacturers

CLEVELAND, O., Feb. 4. (United Press) - Federal officials today were preparing to institute injunction proceedings against 24 porcelain manufacturing companies, including 12 in Ohio, charging violation of the Sherman anti-trust act.

The concerns will be charged with conspiracy in attempting to restrain and monopolize the manufacture of two-part porcelain insulators, federal officials said.

Ohio companies to be made defendants officials said are the Findlay Electrical Porcelain company, Findlay; Brunt Tile & Porcelain company, Columbus; Colonial Insulator company, Akron; Davidson Porcelain company, Mogadore; National Electric Porcelain company, Carey and R. Thomas & Sons, East Liverpool.

Formal notification thus that they will be made defendants in the proceedings has been sent to the concerns, officials said.
