Fairmount and Covington Notes.
FAIRMOUNT, IND., Feb. 8. — The North factory started to blow on the 6th after an idleness of two weeks caused by the falling in of the furnace cap. The Fairmount Glass Co.'s new factory is rapidly nearing completion. Mr. Rau expects to have everything in readiness to blow by the 21st inst. The shops now at work in the old house will move over to the now one, until the tank in the latter is rebuilt, a portion of which is already on the ground. The Covington, Ky., Glass Co. have reorganized and will again start up. Several blowers have left here for that place, among them was John Scott, Wm. Brown, Jacob Cheesman, and others.
