RUN OVER
By an Auto Wm. H. Bigler Was
Knocked Down and Probably
Fatally Injured.
William H. Bigler, Cincinnati representative of the G. H. Hammond Company, of Chicago, with offices at 118 West Sixth street, was probably fatally injured by being run over by an automobile shortly after 5 o'clock last night. He was driving with a friend in a buggy from the ball park, and, as they crossed Cutter street, near Clinton, the machine turned the corner and was upon him without a moment's warning.
The chauffeur stopped, and the occupants tried to do everything in their power for the wounded man. At this juncture Dr. Louis Grear, who was in the rear of them with his buggy drove up, and placing Mr. Bigler in his buggy quickly drove him to the City Hospital. There it was discovered that he had sustained contusions all over the body, a broken nose and internal injuries. The injured man was unconscious from shock of the accident. He is 48 years old, and lives with his wife and. child at 618 West Seventh street. In the excitement of the moment neither the number of machine nor the name of its owner was ascertained.
