STRIKE NOT SETTLED.

Portion of the Hemingray Factory is Still

Idle — Both Sides Determined.

The strike at the Hemingray glass factory is not yet settled. The boys are determined not to return to work and the management is equally as determined that the increase in the boys' wages will not be granted. There were sentinels placed in the vicinity of the factory this morning when it was reported that a number of "other boys" were to be taken in, but no new employees reported for duty. Only a portion of the plant is in operation and the probability is that another week will pass without a settlement. The boys who are out are peaceable thus far, but claim that they will not tolerated any new comers going into the factory to take their places. The officials of the company will say nothing regarding the situation.
