OIL CAN MANUFACTURERS.

A MEETING of the Association of Glass Oil Can manufacturers was announced to be held at the Monongahela House, Pittsburgh, last week, and several of the members were on hand at the time specified, but as some of the leading manufacturers were unable to attend the meeting was postponed. This organization includes both the glass and tin manufacturers who make a specialty of tin-covered glass oil cans. Mr. L. H. Harker, of Columbus, O., is president of the Association, and William N. Campbell secretary. Wormser & Co. are the only glass manufacturers in this city who make a specialty of these goods. An advance was made in the prices of glass oil cans last September, and it is not expected that they will be further increased at the coming meeting, as they have heavy competition to meet from ordinary tin oil cans, which are largely the ones in common use.
