Minature Glass Plant at World's Fair
An animated model of a complete glass plant, showing the full operation of bottle-making by modern machinery, is one of the principle features of the Owens-Illinois Glass Company's extensive display at A Century of Progress Exposition in Chicago. Occupying one entire side of the glass block building erected by this company in the Home and Industrial Arts Group at the fair, the model of a glass plant, it is expected, will attract hundreds of thousands of visitors. The elaborate model was planned in all its intricate detail by T. K. Almroth, advertising manager of the Owens-Illinois Company, and built under his direction. It shows in miniature a complete replica of glass bottle manufacture. |
