GONE AFTER THE MACHINERY. Muncie's Stock Company for the Manufacture of Artificial Ice Organized. The Plant will be in Operation by May First. Muncie's new Ice company, exclusively mentioned in yesterday's Times, was duly organized last evening with a capital stock of $25,000, and Captain Dugan, who is to be Superintendent of the company, left last night for Chattanooga, Tenn., to purchase the machinery for the factory that will have a capacity of 18 tons per day. The location has not been decided upon, several sites being talked of. The machinery will be here and in operation by the first of May. The stockholders are: George Spilker, J. A. Heinsohn, Carl E. Shipley, J. R. Erwin, Ralph Hemingray, Seth Goshorn, J. A. Bishop, and Captain Dugan. To-day Messrs. Rittig & Son, who lately disposed of their plant at Anderson, came here for the purpose of organizing a company and were surprised when they learned a company had already been formed. |
