The Crystal Glass Co., Ltd., New Westminster, B.C. have a capital of $150,000, and their factory is situated on the banks of the Fraser river at New Westminster, B.C., a thriving town of 12,000 inhabitants on the Great Northern and Canadian Pacific railways between the growing cities of Vancouver and Seattle. They are putting in a glass melting furnace with the latest improvements, designed by the H.L. Dixon Co., Pittsburg, Pa., the erection of which is being superintended by manager, Donald Lamont, well known to the glass trade of the United States and Canada. Glass bottles, fruit jars, lamp chimnies [sic] chimneys and insulators will be manufactured. Fry-Johnson and Teeple-Johnson machines are being installed.
