DEATH OF NOAH BIRD.


The death of Noah Bird, one of the best known glassworkers of Muncie, occurred at Covington, Ky., Thursday morning at 4 o'clock. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in a Covington cemetery. A committee appointed from Local 23, composed of six persons, John Butler, Thomas Murray, George Matheson [sic] Mathison, Thomas Carrol [sic] Carroll, Michael Carey and Peter Concannon went to Covington today to attend the funeral.

Noah Bird for years was foreman at the Hemingray factory in this city. Nine weeks ago he became ill and removed with his family to his old home in Covington. When he left Muncie he nor his friends considered his illness serious. It was his intention to rest up and return to this city and assume his old duties.
