OBITUARY.

Robert Hemingray, whom it is claimed was the oldest glass manufacturer in the United States, died on Tuesday at his home in Covington, Ky. He was born near Johnstown, Pa., seventy-nine years ago and went to Covington in 1847. One year later he founded the Hemingray Glass Co. He had for some time past retired from active business, leaving his large interests to be managed by his sons.
